If you own an Amazon Kindle from 2013 or later there is a method of adding the Android app to your device.  However, to do this you will be operating outside Google’s vetting procedures for blocking unsafe apps, this is not too dissimilar to Mac users downloading an app from a source outside the App store.

Firstly, on your Kindle tap ‘Apps’, followed by ‘Settings’ and then ‘Applications’.  Now slide the ‘Apps from Unknown Sources’ switch to its ‘On’ position and tap OK to confirm (remember later to switch it back).

Next, launch the Silk browser and go to www.apkpure.com then tap the flag icon next to the search bar to choose the UK (if it’s not there don’t worry too much).

Type ‘papertrail’ into the search bar then tap the app’s entry followed by ‘Download APK’

When the download has finished, tap Silk’s menu button (three horizontal lines), choose ‘Downloads’ then tap the Papertrail APK file you have just downloaded followed by ‘Install’.

This should then ‘side load’ the Android Papertrail app onto your Kindle.

Happy Papertrailing
