For accountability purposes, it is only possible to delete records in Papertrail if they do not have any inspection history attached to them. Otherwise you are deleting evidence that could be called upon in a claim.
Records that have already been inspected or had a note added need to be archived instead - see the help article for this here.
If you want to delete a single record which hasn't yet had any inspections added, navigate to the record you want to delete and click in to the record itself. Click on Actions in the top left-hand corner and then select Delete record. If this is greyed out, your record has inspection or note history so can only be archived.
If you want to delete a number of records at once to save time, select all the records you want to delete using the tick boxes.
Select the ▼ drop down arrow next to Add X inspections and then select Delete.
If you want to delete a record/records using the mobile app, open the record to be deleted, then select the icon with three dots in the top right corner as shown below:
This gives you the options shown above, select delete. You will then be asked to confirm deletion.
Again, please remember that a record with notes or inspection logs cannot be deleted - archive it instead.
