While Papertrail automatically backs up your data so you donβt have to, you may occasionally need to perform a manual export. This is particularly useful for producing comprehensive audit reports, conducting deep data analysis, or migrating your records to another system.
Note: Only users with Administrator permissions can perform a full account export

π οΈ Steps to generate your export
Access Settings: Click on the Settings (cog icon) in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Select Export: Click on Full account export.
Initiate Request: Click the Generate new account export button.
Choose Content: You will be asked if you wish to include uploaded files (such as images and PDFs).
Please note: Including files may significantly increase the processing time depending on the volume of data and your internet speed.
Start Export: Click Start export to begin the process.
π Downloading your data
Please be patient while the system compiles your archive.
Notification: You will receive an email once your export is ready.
Download: Once complete, click Download. The file will remain available for 7 days.
File Format: Your data will be provided as a ZIP file. Depending on your operating system, you may need third-party software to extract it.
Structure: Once unzipped, you will find separate .csv files for your Records, Tasks, Logs, and Uploads.
