You won't ever need to back-up the data held in your Papertrail account because we do this up to six times daily on your behalf. That said, there may be times when you want to export all the data from your Papertrail account, for example to print off a full audit report, to carry out further data analysis or if you are migrating to a different safety management system.
You must be an account Admin to export all your data.
Click on the Settings white cog icon in the lower left corner of the screen, then select the third option Full account export.
Click on the blue Generate new account export button in the top right.
You will now be asked if you want to include uploaded files (images, pdfs etc.) in your export. Depending on how many files and images you have in your account and the speed of your internet connection, this may take some time.
Click on Start export to run the export.
Please be patient whilst the system collects all the data. When the export has been completed you can click on Download. This file is available for 7 days.
Depending on your software, you many need a third party programme to open the downloaded ZIP file.
The csv files are separated into records, tasks, logs and uploads.
