There may be times when you want to make a note in Papertrail about the status of an item, but you don't actually want to mark it as inspected. An example of this could be if an item has been quarantined and you want to write a note about the status of repairs, but you don't actually want to make it as inspected and safe for use.
The best way to do this is by adding a note. This will not affect the next inspection date for your record.
You can add a note to a single or multiple records in Papertrail by selecting the items first.
Click on the ▼ dropdown arrow next to Add X Inspections.
Then select Add note. Here you can add your comments about the record and also include a photo or file if you wish.
Once you have added your note, remember to click Save at the bottom of the page.
If you're adding the same note to a number of records, then you can select the small blue arrow next to the note box in order to copy the note to all the selected records. Click on Save all to complete.
