Step-by-Step Instructions
Open Search: In the mobile app, tap the magnifying glass icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Activate Scanner: Tap the barcode icon (also located in the top right).
Choose Your Mode: The scanner will open automatically. You can select one of two modes:
Single Scan: Best for finding one specific record immediately.
Multi-scan: Ideal for identifying a group of items at once.

Capture the Barcode: Hold your device camera over the barcode, ensuring it sits within the rectangular outline on your screen.
Review Results:
Single Scan: The record will pop up instantly.
Multi-scan: A notification at the bottom of the screen will confirm if a record has been found. This helps you quickly spot any items that haven't been assigned to Papertrail yet.

βComplete the Task: Once youβve finished scanning, tap Finish. All associated records will be displayed, allowing you to add inspections or edit details in bulk.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you're having trouble getting the scanner to "bite," try the following:
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free of smudges.
Check that there is sufficient background light for the camera to focus.
Keep the barcode flat and within the rectangular guide.
